FORGET QUICK FIX SOLUTIONS OUT THERE, REAL FITNESS BEGINS HERE

It’s almost end of the first month  and the festivities are here. What will happen of course you can tell. You are likely to gain a little more weight and it’s a problem because you would remember you set out to shed off a figure by now but that’s fine because real fitness begins here. Here’re five tips for you:

  1. A Balanced Nutrition Plan

While there are quick fix solutions out there, some of them are nothing more than tricks. It’s also important to know that keeping healthy is a very personal concern. However, to achieve an ideal body weight, you need to find the balance between burning calories and daily body energy need.

  1. A Balanced Exercise Regime

While limited calorie intake is the primary focus of a healthy nutrition plan, it does not mean that you completely avoid foods with calories. A healthy nutrition plan includes regular workouts that help burn the excess calorie. The merits of regular workout are vast and sure worth commitment.

  1. Find Pleasure in Workouts

Ideally a healthy exercise regime should make you feel good. It doesn’t have to be this thing you dread or struggle with to the point of injury. Usually the more you follow a regime you don’t like or find pleasure in, the more you’re bound to fail in it. Always adjust until you find pleasure in it.

  1. Don’t Weigh Yourself Down

The other thing you would find necessary is to check your progress regularly but while at it, it’s important to take it easy. Also you would find it very normal to weigh yourself often but surely you don’t have to do this every day. The problem with this is that the body can easily self-sabotage.

e)     Keep it Positive Mentally

You must already know this, that the need to achieve a certain body weight actually begins and exists in the mind and that it all starts there. This is why it’s important to listen to your mind but not allow it to always criticize your progress. Like an athlete, you need to believe and work hard.

Dressing Tips for Men Attending an Interview

The biggest mistake any man attending an interview can make is to think that anything goes. It is true that men’s fashion changes slowly but it would be fatal to ignore that changes. When dressing for an interview, there are a few things you need to consider. For example, what level is the job you are applying for? What is the job description? Have you just left college or have you been working for half your adult life? These and a few other questions will help you to decide how to dress for your interview. The tips here are suggested by Lois Fenton writing for Monster.

Selecting the suit

According to Lois, if you are applying for a high-level position you will need to have a minimum of two suits. The advice is to avoid a double breasted suit because it’s just old and the single breasted is more current. You will just need to ensure that you do not overdress in such a way that you end up looking better than the person who is interviewing you. They do not like anyone who takes the shine away from them. Just remember to get the suit to the dry cleaner before the interview so that it looks well pressed when you put it on and it smells fresh. Navy and deep gray suits are great to wear for interviews. Just avoid a black or tan suit; they are only appropriate if you’re looking for a job in the television or glamor industry.

Blazers and sports jackets are too casual

Avoid a blazer or a sports jacket as it may be construed as if you are not taking the interview seriously.  However, a blazer can be great for someone looking for a job in academia where people are generally not expected to arrive at work in suits. Even in such a case, you will still need to stick to something traditional such as gray, navy and blue in your colors. Dressing casually is not really a license to show off how radical you are. You will get a chance to do this once you get the job.

Choosing your shirt and accessories

Lois advises that for the first interview you should arrive in a white shirt with a simple shirt collar. The shirt should be 100% cotton and blends should be avoided like the plague. If you do not have a white shirt which is crisp enough, then investing time in buying a new white shirt may be a good idea. Since a tie is the first thing that someone looks at when they look at a man, you need to invest enough time selecting the right tie. If all you have are those loud and dramatic ones, then you may want to go and get yourself a new tie with just one color, a neat pattern, or something classic.

Add to the accessories above a great pair of shoes. Something professional like a black lace-up. Shine your shoes well ahead of the interview. Whatever you are putting on, your socks should be black and they should cover your ankles. Remember to clean your nails and go to a good barber ahead of your interview.

Do You Have a Sex Addiction?

When this topic of sex addiction is raised, many men actually ask, can sex be addictive? The answer is yes and there are several signs that can indicate that an individual is addicted to sex. Brian Whitney identifies some signs you should watch out for.

When you live a double life

According to Brian, the moment when you start to live a double life which involves cheating on your girlfriend or wife you should know that the problem is about to begin. The cheating starts to involve lying about how you spend your money when you actually spend the money buying sex or being involved in some form of sexual activity.

When it comes to sex, you do not care about others

To be a sex addict, you do not have to be a bad and evil person. You can be a great father to your children. A great employee to your boss or even the person that your community relies on. However, when it comes to sex, you care about nobody else but yourself. You can sleep with a person and not care what happens to them once you have got what you want. You start to see women simply as objects, available for you to use. When you become a sex addict you will do whatever it takes to have sex with a woman, even if it means manipulating them.

Thoughts of sex take over your mind

Are you always either thinking about sex, planning your next sexual encounter or actually having sex? If the answer to this question is a yes, then you are moving in the direction of sex addiction. This leads to a situation where you are no longer in control. You will have sex anywhere, whether it’s your office, in your car at the local park or downstairs with the maid in your house while your wife is sleeping upstairs. Even if you know the dire consequences of your behavior, you just no longer care.

When sex destroys your relationships

You have come to accept that every one of your relationships will end because of some action you have done which is related to sex. In the beginning, you will be able to hide this from your partner but she will soon start to realize that something is not right. Then your relationship will break down, but you do not learn a lesson, you still do the same in the next.

You cannot control your masturbation

Masturbation on its own is not unhealthy. It becomes an issue when you do it at every chance you get. “Every chance” means exactly that; you do it after waking up, while you take a bath, when you get to your office, during the tea break and soon after your next meeting. Yes, people with a sex addiction do this.

There are many more signs which can indicate that you have a sex addiction such as when you are unable to stop having sex all the time even if you wanted. When you start to hate yourself because of your sexual life, it is time to seek professional help.

5 ALTERNATIVE PHYSICAL HEALTH PRACTICES TO TRY BEFORE END YEAR

Lift, walk and or run around. Dance, stretch, and repeat. I am tempted to think this is your typical physical health routine but hey, think about it. Isn’t this getting a little boring, more like the same old story; pavements, gym center, hills and meals? Now, why don’t you try something different? The following are some of the best alternative physical health routines you could try by end year.
a) Yoga
Most yoga retreat balis involve light exercises such as silent mindful walks, bike rides and some surfing depending on your location. This blend of exercises is sure to keep you active throughout your day, reduce level stress in you as well as better your sleep at night. Unknown to you, these light yoga health retreat bali activities also increase the production of the “feel good,” hormones.
b) Surfing
Like yoga, surfing has a number of health benefits. It helps develop the upper and lower body. It also increases your physical and muscles strength. It improves your flexibility and balance. Also, regular paddling provides great cardio workout. Other than physical health and related benefits, participating in surfing routines can also help you learn a lot about stress and how to deal with it.
c) Swimming
Unlike activities such as walking or running, you may not strengthen your bones or burn as many kilojuoles as you would with typical exercise routines. Even though it’s a learned skill swimming is a low-impact activity. Once in the water, the buoyancy does not only support your whole body but also reduces the risk of spinal injury. It’s an ideal form of workout, especially for the elderly.

d) Nutrition
Regardless of your physical health goals, proper nutrition is the backbone. It is essentially what fuels fitness. It’s unavoidable. It’s also advisable to insist on a balanced diet. This entails a good mix of carbohydrates, vegetables, vitamins, proteins, complex proteins and fats such as chicken and fish among others. When not home, you can try a pack of homemade snacks and or soy nuts.
e) Cycling
One more thing you could try is cycling. It’s a weight-bearing activity that is also gentle on your joints. Cycling helps burn calories, improves cardiovascular activity, and strengthens your limps.

What your car says about you?

Do you own a car? If you do, have you ever asked yourself what your car says about you. If you ask any man why they drive a certain car, you will probably get reason related to price, that the person loves the brand or it is the car that was available when they were looking for a car. Very few men will tell you the real reason why they bought a certain car. Sometimes men do this deliberately yet at other times they do not know the psychological influences that were at play when they bought the car that they drive.

According to Farouk Radwan cars, just like everything else that human beings own have the ability to say a lot of things about the person who owns them. He argues that when people buy things, they do so to satisfy their emotional needs. Ask yourself why someone would buy a car for over $100 000 if all they were looking for was something to take them from point A to point B? Radwan then goes on to tell you about what your car says about you.

4 x 4 drivers see life as a competition

Drivers of 4 x 4 are the kind of people who always want their way. This is the person who expects everybody to notice when they have arrived. Without labeling them as bullies, one can say these drivers see everything as a competition. They approach every situation as if it was a contest. This makes them an aggressive lot.

Sedan drivers are practical, but…

If you drive a sedan, it says that you are a practical person. Psychologists will define you as someone who is well balanced. Listen to this, this changes when someone starts to drive the expensive German Sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz or the BMW. Driving such sedans shows that the driver cares about status and social class. Check the inside of your sedan, Farouk Radwan indicates that if your car is dirty on the inside and clean on the outside, it shows that you care more about showing off than about your own personal comfort.

Mini car drivers are sensitive

Driving a mini car is an indication that you are not obsessed with showing off. Sometimes, however, driving a small car can indicate that the driver is stingy and does not want to pay. Wait right there, if you, however, drive an expensive mini car such as a mini cooper, then you should just take your bag. This is not your class. Go to the same class as the BMW and Mercedes-Benz drivers.

Sports car drivers

Apart from enjoying showing off, these drivers are also great at taking risks. When people take note of them and think of them as successful, they enjoy. Farouk Radwan says that if the driver of a sports car was an old person, this indicates that he is has a fear of growing up or may actually be suffering from midlife crises.

If you own a car, look at it and see whether the descriptions above are accurate to you. If you do not own a car, what car would you like to own? Once you have decided, take a seat

SURPRISING “STRENGTHS” OF THE EXCEPTIONALLY CREATIVE PEOPLE

To be honest, creative people often seem strange. It’s kind of they live in a different world. And when people speak of them not much positive comes out. In most cases, they feel outcasts in the society. And it’s partly because they live out of the norm, from the ideals other people believe in.
Surprisingly however, the same weaknesses other people point are their strengths. They include:
a) Internally Thoughtful – Ever Busy
In truth, creative people are often busy and easily distracted. For some of us, they would seem as either confused or perhaps psychos. While we continue to think these are undesirable personas, it is because of such people that we have a broadened world with open ideologies and perspectives.
b) They are Independent Thinkers
You would ask perhaps what the exceptionally creative people are busy doing. They are always thinking – out of the norm, out of the box, out of the ordinary – they’re often thinking alternative processes, procedures, means and ways to life and success. This makes most of them innovators.
c) The Creative are Big Dreamers
While they are in their own kind of world and lost in thought, they tend to think of a life better than now and while this is natural, most of us tend to believe this is hopeless. You would then wonder how we become successful in the first place if not through following our “big” dreams.
d) They tend to make lots of mistakes
We all make mistakes but the creative ones among us tend to make lots of mistakes, especially since they’re often lost in thought. While most us will often apologize and make amends, they tend to spend most of their time thinking about the mistakes and the lessons they can learn from such. This allows them turn more failures into victories by bringing different perspectives to it.
e) Creative people are slow to commit
One other personality trait of the exceptionally creative is that they and very slow to commitment and when they do, they’re easily bored. This includes being held down to a single boring and less rewarding job and committing or one partner who may not be very willing to spice up the union.
Back to the claim creative people have a bigger worldview; the truth is that they have a tendency to think deeply and to pursue multiple interests and ambitions therefore having more open minds to new cultures, societies, people perspectives, philosophies and to a largely broader worldview.
